The FCC Group’s construction division, an international leader in the design and construction of infrastructure, has 125 years’ experience and ranks among the leading construction companies in Europe and worldwide.

The activities of the FCC Group’s construction division cover all areas of engineering and construction, and it is a leader in the execution of civil engineering works (roads, railways, airports, hydraulic and maritime works, tunnels, bridges, underground railways, wastewater treatment plants) and building construction (residential and non-residential: healthcare, sports, cultural and corporate facilities, etc.).

It comprises a group of companies operating in the industrial and energy sectors, grouped under a single brand, FCC Industrial, as well as other activities related to the construction sector.

FCC Construcción has built up a diverse portfolio in Australia that combines major transport infrastructure projects with cutting-edge residential construction: on the one hand, the second phase of the Barwon Heads road expansion in Geelong stands out, designed to double its traffic capacity, and, in particular, the construction of the imposing railway viaduct over the Maribyrnong River —a colossal structure 550 metres long and 50 metres high, which is key to the future rail link to Melbourne Airport—; and, on the other hand, its major residential project in Woree (Queensland), where it is leading the industrialised and modular construction of 490 sustainable homes in what is the state’s largest social housing complex.
