FCC Construcción has consolidated its presence in Australia by focusing its current activities on the development of large-scale residential solutions and innovative construction methods, standing out in particular as the main contractor for Queensland’s largest social and affordable housing complex, located in Woree (South Cairns).
This project, which marks a milestone for the company in the southern hemisphere, involves the delivery of 490 homes spread across 16 buildings, using an advanced industrialised modular construction method — which utilises more than 1,000 prefabricated modules — with the aim of speeding up construction times, minimising disruption to the local area and ensuring high standards of quality and sustainability for older people and those with disabilities.
